"Guilty Until Proven Insane" is a Glam Rock album released by Skyhooks in 1978. It was the the first album that did not feature guitarist Red Symons, but Bob Spencer, who also later was a member in rock group "The Angels".

Released as a 12" vinyl LP and a rare red vinyl LP, later released on CD in 1997.It is the first album to include an uncensored version of "Why Dontcha All Get *ucked" recorded in a studio, as opposed to live and censored. It is also the last album vocalist Graeme "Shirley" Strachan made with Skyhooks before reuniting with them for the recording sessions featured on The Lost Album.

The song Women In Uniform was covered 3 years later in 1981 by the NWOBHM group Iron Maiden.

The hits of the album were Women in Uniform, Meglomania,BBBBBB Boogie and Why Dontcha all get *ucked. Women In Uniform and Meglomania also featured as film clips. In recent years, numbers of copies of Guilty Until Proven Insane (along with 'Hot for the Orient') have dwindled largely, to the extent that this album is now considered a rarity and collecter's item, on both LP and CD.

The album's name comes from a line in "Twisted Innocence", which states 'if we are guilty until proven insane...'.
