Franklin Osborne Alexander (
November 3 ,1897 -January 17 ,1993 ), known professionally as F.O. Alexander, was acomic strip artist andeditorial cartoonist . He was a native Missourian. Hairbreadth Harry ", which he took over in 1931, after the death of its creatorC.W. Kahles . Alexander quit the strip in 1939.
