The "Canadian Journal of Forest Research" is a peer-reviewed journal of the NRC Research Press covering many research topics related to forest resource management. The journal publishes several manuscript types, including articles, reviews, notes and commentaries. A wide range of forestry-related topics are covered including forest biology, biometry, conservation, economics, genetics, human dimensions, management, operations, protection, policy, remote sensing, soils, silviculture, wildlife and wood science.

The co-editors in 2007 were Dr. Cindy Prescott of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and Dr. Doug Maynard of the Canadian Forest Service Pacific Forestry Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.
