Alan Kilby is a professional wrestler from
Sheffield , South Yorkshire. He was born in the 1940s and made his debut in the 60s then went on to hold many British championships especially in the Mid-Heavyweight & Light-Heavyweight classes.What made him particularly famous was the fact that he is deaf-mute although this would sometimes serve as a problem as opponents would often use his disability against him. He is often accompanied by his translator/corner man.
Being a Face for the majority of his career, he feuded with many Heels, most notably Mike Marino and
Dave Finlay .Outside of wrestling he lives in the area of
Arbourthorne in Sheffield with his wife and 3 children including Adam, his son, who also steps into the ring occasionally at the side of his dad.Kilby is now semi-retired, making sporadic appearances several times per year mostly tag team matches, making his last recent appearance on
21 January accepting a lifetime achievement award in his hometown from All-Star Promotions. On11 October 2006 he teamed up with newcomer Hysteria to defeat fellow mat veteran Blondie Barrett & Jimmy Frost. On30 September 2006 he teamed up with his son one more time to wrestle Norfolk brothers theUK Pitbulls in a losing effort.
