August 11 ,1964 ) is a dental researcher and clinician who is working inOsaka University Graduate School of Dentistry (Osaka ,Japan ) as a professor and chairman.Biography
Sakai was born in
Osaka ,Japan and is a distinguished alumnus of bothTokushima University School ofDentistry (1985-1991), Japan andOsaka 'sTennoji High School (1980-1983). He received hisD.D.S. in dentistry with honour and distinction fromTokushima University in 1983 andPh.D. inOral surgery atOsaka University Graduate School of Dentistry in 1999.In April 2000, he moved to the
National Institutes of Health , Bethesda, in the US and was working in the field ofsalivary gland development andregeneration . He is currently a professor at the Osaka University Graduate School of Dentistry and a chief of Department of Oral-facial Disorders at theOsaka University Dental Hospital References
