Dollar Dreams is a bilingual (English and Telugu) film directed and produced by Sekhar Kammula starring Anish Kuruvilla, Priyanka Veer, Santosh Kumar (hyd), Anil Prashanth and Dashveer Singh.

Plot

The film is about youngsters from Hyderabad who are obsessive of immigrating to United States. It revolves around six characters & their choice of making careers and settling down in United States or in homeland (India).

Awards

• Film bagged the award for Best First Film of a Director at 47th National film festival.^[1]

Distribution

Sekhar Kammula had lot of difficulty in convincing the distributors while marketing the film. He approached management of Sangeet theater in hyderabad who agreed to rent the theatre at Rs 10,000 per show but were not interested in buying the film. Sekhar Kammula booked the theatre for one show a day for 30 days. Film ran well for 4 weeks.
