- HOPSAN
HOPSAN is a simulation tool for hydraulic power systems. It has been developed at
Linköping University since1977 . Originally developed for simulation offluid power systems, it has also been adopted for other domains such aselectric power ,flight dynamics , and vehicle dynamics. It uses bi-directionaldelay line s (or transmission line elements, TLM) to connect different components.HOPSAN can be used in co-simualation under
Simulink .In addition to the simulation capability it also has features for simulation based optimization. This uses the COMPLEX direct search optimization method or a genetic algorithm (GA). It also has features for frequency analysis and transfer function analysis, on simulated results.
HOPSAN has a graphical drag and drop user interface written in Visual Basic.
Component models are written as
FORTRAN subroutines. There is a separate tool, COMPGEN, written inMathematica that can be used to generate component models in a straightforward way.External links
