Richmond parkrun (originally Richmond Park Time Trial) is an undulating 5 km run that takes place every Saturday morning at 9am in
Richmond Park ,Richmond upon Thames . It is the fifth 5km run in theparkrun umbrella organisation. It is entirely run by volunteers, and is free to enter.History
Richmond parkrun started on
20 October 2007 . It changed its name from Richmond Park Time Trial in October 2008.Course
The event starts on the Tasmin Trail, approximately 200 meters left of Richmond Gate entrance and before the Cambrian Gate. After just less than a kilometre, the course leaves the Tasmin Trail and onto the road. At about halfway, the course rejoins the Tasmin Trail until the finish.
Records
As of
22 December 2007 , 395 athletes have completed the Richmond parkrun. The course record for men is held by Andrew McFarlane of Serpentine RC with a time of 16 minutes 34 seconds. The women's record is held by Esther Evans from Thames Turbo Triathlon with a time of 18 minutes and 17 secondsee also
