Its seat is the town of Lubniewice, which lies approximately convert|12|km|mi|0 north-east of Sulęcin, convert|25|km|mi|0|abbr=on south of Gorzów Wielkopolski, and convert|67|km|mi|0|abbr=on north of Zielona Góra.
