"Welwyn Hatfield Times" is a local paper that was established in 1928 covering the area of Welwyn Hatfield district borough, along with Potters Bar in the Potters Bar edition of the paper.
The Welwyn and Hatfield Times has always been at the heart of the community and was awarded the title Newspaper Society Weekly Paid-For Community Newspaper of the Year in 2006, backed up by the campaigning newspaper of the year categotry of the Newspaper Society Awards in 2007.
As well as being renown for its campaigning and community spirit the paper also supports many local charities.It played a leading role in launching the Willow Foundation with Arsenal legend Bob Wilson and his wife Megs. A charity, set up in memory of their daughter Anna who died of cancer shortly before her 32nd birthday, provides special days for seriously ill young adults.
As well as producing a paper every Wednesday, the WHT also produces a magazine and has a website www.whtimes.co.uk which regularly updates the people with stories.It is via this website that you could suggest stories for the paper to print.
