William Jason Massengale [ [http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/profiles/j/jason-cross.html Online World of Wrestling ] ] is an American professional wrestler better known as Jason Cross. Massengale is perhaps best known for his work during the earlier years of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and has also been known on the independent circuit as well.

Career

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2003)

Jason got his start in TNA facing David Young, losing in the process. In this match he suffered a broken hand and a crushed knuckle. Jason Cross appeared commonly in TNA's early years in its X-Division, facing the likes of A.J Styles, Amazing Red, and then-X-Division champion Kid Kash.

NWA Wildside (2003-2005)

He has been well-known in other independent promotions, such as NWA Wildside. When A.J. Styles returned to NWA Wildside and won the NWA Wildside Heavyweight Championship, Cross was brought in by Styles' former manager Jeff G. Bailey. Cross' gimmick was that of a clone of Styles, copying him in every aspect, including attire and finishing moves. After David Young defeated Styles for the Heavyweight title, Cross would then defeat Young eight days later for the Heavyweight title before losing it to Adam Jacobs only 28 days later. Cross would then begin a feud with Onyx for the NWA Wildside Heavyweight title and defeated him for the belt on September 4, 2004 to gain his second and last reign. Cross held the Heavyweight title for exactly 30 days before losing it to Ray Gordy and then left NWA Wildside after the promotion closed in 2005.

Independent circuit (2005-2006)

Cross wrestled for Georgia Championship Wrestling and New Alliance Wrestling, becoming the first-ever NAW Light Heavyweight Champion after defeating Billy Maverick for the belt.

He is currently wrestling for the Independent Wrestling Network in Columbus, Ga
