Outline of Assault on Sun Hill Part 1

It's DS Max Carter's first day in Sun Hill C.I.D. and neither DI Samantha Nixon or DC Mickey Webb are expecting him. DC Terry Perkins is given a tip-off from a snout that a robbery is going down. PC Benjamin Gayle and PC Sally Armstrong are called to a disturbance over unpaid taxi fares. The girls involved are called Tiff and Paula. DC Terry Perkins makes some arrests over the robbery but finds his snout has been shot by Barry Jenkins. The taxi driver is found unconscious in his house and it turns out Paula had smuggled a poisonous snake into the country. Their boyfriends walk out of the station in a huff. DC Perkins is picked up from the pub drunk and put in a cell to cool off. PCs Tony Stamp, Ben Gayle and Sally Armstrong are ready to release Tiff and Paula when two men barge in and take Sally and Tony hostage.

Outline of Assault on Sun Hill Part 2

Tony and Sally are being held at gunpoint by Tiff and Paula’s boyfriends. Outside Stone gets a check on a car parked outside the station - it’s been stolen. CO19 who are walking into the station clearly see Sally held at gunpoint. Shots ring out and one officer is down. Sun Hill station has been taken siege. Tiff and Paula are stunned that their boyfriends have stormed the station armed, attempting to free them. But something’s wrong with Tiff; she’s burning up. Jimmy Duncan, a hardened criminal who’s only today pulled off an armed robbery taking over £1m, helps the boys control the siege as they’re amateurs.

Gina Gold takes over the local pub for a control point. At the station Ben realises the girls have swallowed drugs to smuggle them into the country. One of the condoms containing cocaine has burst and that’s why Tiff is so ill; she’s overdosing. The gang haven’t got a clue but Jimmy does.

Under Jimmy’s instruction they’re making demands: a bus, with a driver, so they can drive out with their hostages. While the girls on in the loo, Sally tries to convince Paula to persuade her boyfriend to end all this. Elsewhere Jimmy murders one of the boys and the siege goes from bad to a lot worse. DC Perkins tries to trick Jimmy Duncan into believing he's a criminal. To do so he sets fire to the canteen, but Jimmy hits him over the head and knocks him out. As the fire takes hold everybody scrambles through the front entrance including DC Perkins. Terry and Will drive after Jimmy and catch him. Terry knocks him out and goes to shoot him when Nixon pulls up with CO19. Duncan is arrested. Only 1 officer is hurt.

Eventually,all events of this incident have not been mentioned in following episodes and the officers have gotten over the siege.
