Luba Netchaeva

Luba Netchaeva (aka Chanel Luba Netchaeva, C. Luba Netchaeva: born December 1, 197? ) is an American chanteuse, dancer and actress. Born in Bangkok, Thailand - she received an early training in traditional dances and ballet. She moved to the US in 1987 to continue her education in Seattle, WA. In 1994, whilst still in school, she began taking private voice lessons from Maestro David Kyle. She has made frequent appearances at OOPS (Out of Pocket's) Theatre in the mid 1990s. Even though her voice was classically trained (she is a mezzo-soprano); she has proven herself to be a versatile performer. Soon after, she received an invitation to perform at a fringe theater. Her interpretation of Kurt Weill's songs at the fringe was flawless. As a strong supporter of LGBT Rights, she sang at the Seattle Pride Rally in 1998 in front of thousands of spectators. She received rave reviews for her performance . She is currently working on a project called "One Weill Night with Luba" - a one woman show based on the life and songs of Kurt Weill.
