Volleyball Manager is a series of volleyball management simulation games, written by Polish volleyball fans Tomasz Ślusarek and Wojciech Sapiecha and developed since the beginning of 2005. It is a non-profit project and all the games can be distributed only as freeware. The full version of the game was released on 26 September 2007 and is named Volleyball Manager 2007 (currently version 1.12 with squads updated to season 2007/2008). An English beta-version of Volleball Manager 2007 with updates and patches (Volleyball Manager 2008) was released on 17 February 2008. On 22 July a fully translated english version was released. It contains also beta-dutch version.

This game written in .NET Framework includes an advanced match engine, a huge database with thousands of realistic players, several dozen club competitions (the best known : Italian Serie A/Serie B, French Pro A/Pro B, Russian Superligue and Vyzsha Liga A, polish PLS, brazylian Superliga and Argentinian Especial Liga, all European cup competitions) fully detailed national competitions (Olympic games, World Championship, World League, World Cup, continental championships), FIVB and CEV rankings, press releases, bookmakers' odds, plenty of options like training and tactics set-up, sponsorship and finances. It is possible to add graphics packs to display players' photos and club logos in the game (official or made by fans).

Future releases

VM is still under development. Authors try to improve its speed and implement new features like new finance and management aspects and make the match engine more realistic. The game is now available in three language versions: Polish English and dutch (beta-version - 22 of July 2008).

English and dutch versions

The English beta-version (Volleyball Manager 2008) was released on 17 February 2008. It is an accelerated and patched version of Volleyball Manager 2007 - most of the known bugs were resolved. On 22 July 2008 a fully translated english version was released. It contains also beta-dutch version A play-off phase of all league competition and new element of match tactic - pre-match briefing were added.
