Matthew Yorke (born 24 November 1958 to Emma Tennant and Sebastian Yorke) is a British novelist and editor. His most recent work was 2005's critically acclaimed Chancing It - a short novel for young adults. His previous novel - The March Fence - won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, and he has also edited Surviving: The Uncollected Works of Henry Green (his grandfather, whose real name was Henry Yorke). His upcoming novel, titled Pictures of Lily, will be published in August 2010.
Matthew now lives and works in Leeds as an engineer. He has two children, and a dog called Pip.
