Rafe Champion (born July 1945) is an
Australia n writer. He was born in the Australian state ofTasmania , and grew up on a farm in the northern part of that state, near Irishtown. He studied agricultural science at theUniversity of Tasmania in Hobart, then went to theUniversity of Adelaide for postgraduate study before moving toSydney .Champion's main interest is in bringing to wider attention the works of the Austrian philosopher
