Dixon has also officially inserted himself as a Presidential candidate as he plans to run for President Of The United States in 2028. "I believe that America needs a president who'll abolish problems for the long term. So that in five or ten years we won't be dealing with the same issues we're dealing with today." Said Dixon in a ABC news interview. Although he currently supports
Barack Obama , many have speculated that Dixon may possibly run as an independent in an attempt to make history as the first independent President of The United States. However, some have also noted that Dixon's good friend and long time political rival LaDarius Beal - who is a Republican- may possibly run against Dixon if he decides to run as a Democrat, which means he could possibly run as a Republican which would put Dixon and Beal on the same ticket in 2028. LaDarius Beal was interviewed by the Washington post as being the only Republican in his High School. Dixon and Beal were apart of a "mock debate" in Dixon's Senior year and Beal's Junior of High School, where Dixon defeated Beal collecting over 85% of the votes. When asked if he'd consider being a running mate for Beal in 2028, Dixon rejected the idea and responded: "I'd rather run against LaDarius than be on a ticket under him." This caused much controversy because many believe if Dixon wouldn't consider being Beal's Vice Presidential running mate, why would he consider Beal as a possible Vice President contender? It should also be noted that both Dixon and Beal supported former presidential candidateMike Huckabee , however, after his defeat by John McCain, Dixon supported Obama, and also Beal claims to be a "Republican" he is also backing Obama, which further complicates both of their political platforms.External links
