South Pacific Scouts

The South Pacific Scouts were a jungle warfare unit formed during World War II from Fijiians and Solomons Islanders. They participated in the American landings at New Georgia in 1943. [Jackson, Ashley "The British Empire and the Second World War" p. 521 Hambledon Continium 2006]
