Young-Ja Cho

Young-Ja Cho (phonetic - (yee-uhng)-jah choh) is a sculptor born in Busan, South Korea in 1951. A graduate of Hong-ik University, she has shown her bronze works extensively in the South Korean capital, Seoul, including a group show in 1989 entitled 'Women Artists in the 1980s', held at the Kumho Gallery. Her work is inspired by classical mythology and religion, and often centres on fragments of the human form, combined with other elements of nature.
