Edwin Seward

Edwin Seward

Edwin Seward was an architect based in Cardiff, Wales. He trained in Yeovil before moving to Cardiff to work as an assistant to G. E. Robinson. By 1875 he was a member of the firm James, Seward and Thomas and went on to build some of Cardiff's most notable buildings in the late 19th Century.

*Free Library in the Hayes (1880-82)
*Llanishen Methodist Church
*New Trinity Church United Reform Church/ Canton Uniting Church at junction of Cowbridge Road East and Theobald Rd
*St David's Hospital
*Coal Exchange (1884-88) in Mount Stuart Square

He was the winning architect for the Swansea Harbour Trust Building in Swansea.
