Edmond Schreiber married Phyllis Barchard in 1916; there were two daughters.

mentioned in despatches . He ended the war as a brevetmajor .In the 1930s, he served the
Staff College ,War Office and theSenior Officers' School ,Sheerness and commandedRoyal Artillery , Southern Command.He served in the
British Expeditionary Force inFrance 1939-1940.
