Mr. Irrelevant in the 1965NFL Draft , being selected last overall in the twentieth round by the Baltimore Colts. His professional career would end with the Norfolk Neptunes of theContinental Football League , after which he would return to the college ranks as a coach.Haffner would spend 31 years on various coaching staffs at Division I schools, including 22 years as an offensive coordinator under such renowned head coaches as
Bobby Bowden ,Johnny Majors andVince Dooley .
