Hoyt House

Hoyt House

Hoyt House Bed & Breakfast Inn, built on Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL, in 1905 by builder John Mann, was modeled after the Rockefeller Cottage in Jekyll Island. Banker Fred Hoyt, his wife Kate, and their three boys--Charles, Willis & Wadleigh--resided here until Mr. Hoyt's death in 1927. The Everett Mizell family lived there for the next half-century, followed by a local attorney, whose offices occupied the mansion until 1992.
