Ghora Dakka

Ghora Dakka is a town in Abbottabad District, North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan. It is located at 34°1'50N 73°24'50E [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/PK/3/Ghora_Dakka_Cantonment.html Location Ghora Dakka Cantonment - Falling Rain Genomics] ] and lies on the road linking Dunga Gali to Murree, it is 3 miles south of Dunga Gali and 15 miles north of Murree [http://dsal.uchicago.edu/reference/gazetteer/pager.html?objectid=DS405.1.I34_V12_242.gifGhora Dakka Imperial Gazetteer of India, v. 12, p. 236.] ] .

History

During British rule, the town served as a cantonment and during the summer months was occupied by a detachment of British infantry.
