William Miller (actor)

William Miller, born in 1996, is an British child actor who rose to fame when he was chosen the part of Oliver Twist in the BBC One Christmas adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic broadcast in December 2007. He beat 700 other boys to land the role.

Miller made his debut on television in the historical drama "Krakatoa - The Last Days" in 2006, which was directed by his father, Sam Miller. The drama documentary depicts the eruption of Krakatoa volcano which killed more than 36,000 people in 1883. His mother Janine Wood is an actress.

The 11-year-old star says he might choose football over acting as a career. He currently plays for fc|Leyton Orient's under-12 team but was recently scouted by fc|Tottenham Hotspur.
