Gardein

Gardein is a meat substitute produced by the Garden Protein International company in Richmond, Vancouver, Canada. It comes in three main varieties, imitating the flavor and texture of chicken, beef, or pork, respectively. It is available in several shapes and sizes, including strips and diced, and may be ordered either plain, with sauce, or with a spice rub.

It is made from water, wheat gluten, soy protein isolate, natural flavors, autolyzed yeast extract, pea protein, carrot fiber, other flavorings, and vitamins and minerals. The beef flavor contains added molasses for color.

Gardein is also vegan as it contains no animal products and is suitable for strict vegetarians.
