His early schooling was at Burtonwood County Primary School, Warrington and, whilst there, his head teacher encouraged his performance tendencies and he regularly put on plays during Friday assemblies. He then attended Selwyn Jones High School in St Helens and turned his attention mainly to playing
Rugby League , before rekindling his performance interests and successfully applying to Bretton Hall Drama School. After graduation he relocated to London and was briefly active in Fringe Theatre (Appearing in Lead Roles inChekhov 'sThe Bear andThe Proposal ) before turning his hand to comedy.His intermittent "real" jobs included working in his grandfathers butchers shop in St Helens, working as a barman for Wetherspoons, a Newspaper sales rep and selling Strip Metal.
He is a fanatical supporter of
St Helens RFC Rugby League, and an accomplished artist.ee also
