Yiannis Tridimas (born
Andros ,Greece on 22 February 1945) is a well renowned long-distance fell runner, noted as being the first and only 60 year old to have completed an extended version of theBob Graham Round , covering 60 peaks in under 24 hours [ [http://www.bobgrahamround.co.uk/statistics.htm Statistics ] ] [ [http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/index.php?page=records The 24 hour club ] ] . He completed the course on his third attempt, during the weekend of 6/7th August 2005, after his first attempt was curtailed by injury and the second by extreme hot weather [ [http://www.bobgrahamround.co.uk/yiannis.htm Untitled Document ] ] . He completed the round with 8 minutes to spare before the 24 hour mark was surpassed. In addition in 1995 he completed 50 at 50 making him the first person to gain membership with the Bob Graham Round without having completed the basic round first. He is among few who have completed all three 24 hour rounds in England, Scotland and Wales. He remains the only member of thefell runners association to have been awarded the long distance trophy twice.
