The mechanism developed by Baryshev allows this light automatic weapon with powerful ammunition to have controllable and accurate enough fire. The AVB-7.62 can use the high capacity 30-round magazine developed for the SVU-AS automatic sniper rifle if provided. A variant of the weapon was also manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the7.62 x 51 mm NATO calibre, under a different designation.External links
