Gosha-e-Durood

Gosha-e-Durood is a full time sufi institute like the traditional khanqah where individuals gather for remembrance and recitation of greetings and salutations (Salat and Salam) upon the Islamic prophet Muhammad. This is a unique spiritual retreat and approach for character reformation. It was established on 3rd December 2005 by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and is based at the headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Lahore, Pakistan.

The individuals recite verses from the Holy Quran, Durood and Salam, non-stop on daily basis, 24 hours a day. A group of 8 people attend the gathering for at least 10 days to take part in a unique spiritual experience. The individuals change shifts every 8 hours to cover the whole 24 hours.
