Bachirou Salou (born 15 September, 1970) is a Togolese former football (soccer) player, with German nationality. During his career, Salou most notably played for a number of teams in the German Bundesliga. Salou played as a striker, and played 39 games for the Togo national football team.

Born in Lomé, Salou was spotted at the age of 19, by former Czech Republic national player Anton Ondruš. Ondruš was on holiday in Cameroon, where he saw Salou play in a provincial team. With the help of Ondruš, Salou moved to German Bundesliga team Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1990, where he quickly became a fan favourite.

In his time at Mönchengladbach, Salou helped the team win the 1995 DFB-Pokal. Having scored 13 goals in 86 league games for Mönchengladbach between 1990 and 1995, he moved to 2nd Bundesliga team MSV Duisburg. He helped Duisburg, win promotion for the Bundesliga, scoring a combined 26 goals in 95 league games for the club. In 1998, he moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he spent a single season. Salou played on for Bundesliga clubs Eintracht Frankfurt and Hansa Rostock, before moving to the 2nd Bundelsiga club Alemannia Aachen in 2003.

After 14 years in the premier and second leagues of Germany, Salou moved away in 2004, to play for AS Eupen in the second league of Belgium. He stayed in Eupen for half a year, before moving on to play amateur football.
