"Homalopoma nana" is a minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Turbinidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand, found off the east coast of Northland and offshore islands extending to the Three Kings Islands.

Habitat

This shell is found at depths of between 10 and 475 m.

hell description

The shell is very similar to "Homalopoma fluctuata" in general appearance and in coloration, but is constantly much smaller, is finer in sculpture, has a narrower, often almost completely callused umbilicus, and the smooth basal area is much narrower.

Shell coloration is pink, with reddish maculations.

The shell height is up to 0.9 mm, and the width is up to 2.5 mm.
