South African Republic Police
- South African Republic Police
The South African Republic Police, known in the original Dutch as the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek Politie was the police force of the short-lived Transvaal Republic [http://152.111.1.251/argief/berigte/beeld/2000/05/13/6/14.html] , one of several independent Boer republics of the mid to late 1800's. Members of the police force were known as ZARP's. After the Union of South Africa was established in 1910, the force was incorporated into the South African Police Force which was later known simply as the South African Police [http://www.sahistory.org.za/pages/governence-projects/organisations/sap/SAP-history.htm] .
