Glenn "Abe" Martin was the fifth head football coach for the Southern Illinois Salukis in Carbondale, Illinoisand he held that position for ten seasons, from 1939 until 1949. His overall coaching record at SIU was 31 wins, 42 losses, and 5 ties. This ranks him fourth at SIU in terms of total wins and tenth at SIU in terms of winning percentage.
