This deepwater top shell lives at depths of between 60 and 95 m.
hell description
The shell is has finer and more numerous spiral cords than in "
Spectamen plicatulum ", coupled with the wide, deep, and ridge-margined umbilicus of "Spectamen luteolum ".The external shell coloration is lemon-yellow, merging into buff, and with a few wavy narrow radial reddish-brown streaks on the upper surface only.
The shell height is up to 3.5 mm, and the width is up to 5.4 mm.
