Reykjavik To Foundation

Reykjavik To Foundation

The Reykjavik to Foundation (r2) is a not-for-profit organization based in Iceland and Holland, that organizes Icelandic cultural events across the world. With these events, we aim to introduce a wider audience to contemporary Icelandic culture. R2 events brings unknown talent in focus. We provide them with an opportunity to perform outside the comforts of Reykjavik, generating a larger interest in their work from public, press, and industry.

At each event local volunteers help out in the organization and with assisting the involved artists, creating a sense of atmosphere and togetherness. The Reykjavik to Foundation is proud to be able to always bring this unique feeling of experiencing something together to everyone involved, volunteers, artists and audience.

Events

Each festival carries the same name structure (Reykjavik to New York, Reykjavik to Sydney...), building the Reykjavik to Foundation into a strong recognizable brand. Audiences for each single festival range from 2.000 to 15.000 people.
