- Race to Dubai
The Race to Dubai will be a season-long competition on the
European Tour , similar to thePGA Tour 'sFedEx Cup , culminating at the world’s richestgolf tournament, theDubai World Championship . It will replace TheEuropean Tour Order of Merit from 2009. Players will still be ranked according to their earnings from all events on The European Tour International Schedule. There is an additional bonus pool of $10,000,000 which will be awarded for the final top-15. The number one player will receive $2,000,000, the runner-up $1,500,000 and for third, $1,000,000. The 15th placed golfer will earn $250,000.
