cable chan 1 = Currently Non-Linear The African American Channel is an American broadband television network based in Los Angeles, California, targeted toward youth and adult African-Americans, urban and mainstream audiences in the United States and globally. The network is commonly referred to as AAC or AACTV and most of its programming comprises historical bio-pics and documentaries, classic movies, original movies and series as well as religious and faith based programming. The company is not the product of one of the conglomerates. However, interest from the major networks has been expressed. Broadcasting and Cable magazine recently had an article on September 17, 2007(http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA6478750.html), that included AfricanAmericanChannel.com (The African American Channel). Broadcasting and Cable magazine pointed out that The African American Channel could become a competitor of BET and others such as Black Family Channel(BFC).
