Lee C. Teng

Lee C. Teng is a senior physicist emeritus at the Advanced Photon Source of the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). He has made numerous contributions to the field of accelerator physics.

Lee Teng left his native China in 1947 to attend graduate school in physics at the University of Chicago.

Since receiving his PhD in 1951, Lee has worked at the University of Minnesota, the Wichita State University,
Argonne National Laboratory, and the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) .

In 1993, Teng took a two year leave of absence from Fermilab to serve as the founding director of whatis now the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) in Taiwan.

Honors

In 2007, the American Physical Society awarded Teng the [http://www.aps.org/programs/honors/prizes/wilson.cfm Robert R.
