Ronnie Trucchio

Ronald Joseph Trucchio (born 1951) also known as "One Armed Ronnie" is a New York mobster with the Gambino crime family who used to run the infamous crew known as The Ozone Park Boys. [ [http://queensda.org/Press%20Releases/2003%20Press%20Release/10-October/10-29-2003.htm Ronnie Trucchio 1] ]

Born in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn Trucchio was run over by a car as a child and his arm was partially paralyzed. He was raised in Ozone Park, Queens. He is the son of Murder Inc. Gambino crime family mob associate Frank Trucchio. That accident led to his nickname of "One-Armed Ronnie". In the mid-1990s, Trucchio was promoted to caporegime and given control over the Ozone Boys. Based in Queens, the Ozone Park Boys specialized in illegal gambling, loansharking, bookmaking, fraud and wire fraud. Trucchio and his son Alphonse Trucchio ran an illegal gambling operation that grossed approximately $30 million a year, with betters who placed wagers as large as $15,000. Indictment & prison

In January 2003, Trucchio was indicted on charges of operating a $30 million a year bookmaking and illegal gambling racket. The indictment stated that Trucchio conspired to engage in racketeering, murder, robbery, arson, extortion, kidnapping, drug trafficking, tapering with witnesses, retaliating against witnesses, credit card fraud, intrastate travel in aid of racketeering activity, interference with commerce by threats and violence, interstate transportation of stolen property, and thefts from interstate shipments. In April 2003, Trucchio pleaded guilty and was sentenced on August 11, 2005 to life in prison and fined $250,000.

Ronald Trucchio is serving his sentence at the United States Penitentiary in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He has no release date.
