Sunalini N Menon (nee "Basu") is Asia's first woman professional in the field of coffee tasting [http://www.commodityonline.com/news/topstory/newsdetails.php?id=4977] or coffee cupping. She is a coffee quality control expert, with a Master's degree in food and nutrition from the Women's Christian College [ [http://www.wcc.edu.in/links/alumni_distinguished.php Womens Christian College - Alumni Association ] ] . She started her career at the Coffee Board of India [http://indiacoffee.org/default.htm] in 1972. Currently, she runs "Coffeelab Private Limited", a consultancy at Bangalore, India, that she started in 1996. She is also the quality ombudsman of the Specialty Coffee Association of India.
