Tim Mars was born Timothy Joseph Mars in
Chicago ,Illinois onJanuary 8 ,1978 . His mother is a school teacher, and his father is a retired purchasing agent. He was raised mostly inLexington, Kentucky and attendedTates Creek High School , where he was voted "Class Clown".Taking up an interest in music as early as grade school, Mars studied the drums, guitar, and the saxophone. In high school, he performed in various battle of the bands as a rock drummer and vocalist. In college, he began to rap and produce hip-hop albums for local acts under the pseudonym, Paco. In conjunction with the hip-hop group, C.I.A., Mars released a local radio hit in Lexington called, "South Limestone."
In 2001, Mars received a B.A. in Telecommunications from the
University of Kentucky .Professional career
In 2002, he moved to
Los Angeles, California to pursue a professional career in entertainment. Within one month in the City of Angeles, he began performing stand up comedy at various bars and night clubs.
