Laser Guided Vehicle

Laser Guided Vehicle

A Laser Guided Vehicle moves pallets from the production line and acts as the link between end-of-line machinery within the warehouse. The vehicle's systems may include Energy, Safety, Fork/Load handling and Guidance and Control systems.

LGV is also known as an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) or Self Guided Vehicles (SGV). In Germany the technology is also called Fahrerlosen Transportsystemen (FTS) and in Sweden förarlösa truckar.

Vehicle Types

Fork LGVs - There are two versions of this type of vehicle, having different position of the back wheels in relation to the forks.

Conveyor-bed LGV - A Conveyor-bed LGV can be equipped with roller, chain or belt conveyors. It can carry a large number of pallets simultaneously and is particularly suitable for large product flows and long routes.

LGVs for reels - A LGV for reels is equipped with gripping devices, either clamps or forks.

LGV High Reach - A high reach LGV is most effective in a rack storage environment.
