'The Buzz' is a weekly radio show airing on 99.7FM in Brisbane, Australia. It is a variety show that predominantly focuses on the entertainment industry.
Hosts
The main host of The Buzz is AJ Cohen. AJ Cohen is an acronym for Adam John Cohen. AJ Cohen is the first and only host of the show and also the creator and producer of the concept of The Buzz.
AJ Cohen is joined on a regular basis by Ashlie Rose, who reports on the local arts and entertainment scene, providing information on upcoming concerts and local theatre productions.
The regular segment "Showbiz Scene" is hosted by Jared Ewy, an American comedian.
History
'The Buzz' first aired July 2007. The show is the successor of the other AJ Cohen created shows 'Monday Night LIVE' (Sept 2005 - December 2006) and 'Chill Out With AJ Cohen' (December 2006 - July 2007).
The original concept was to provide a weekly variety radio program, showcasing the latest Hollywood news and celebrity gossip, and playing the latest new music.
