Beef! is the first half of episode #1.09 of the animated television series "Dave the Barbarian".

Plot

Princess Candy, after losing to a muscular she-male in a contest for a man's heart, Princess Candy decides to become stronger. She gains muscle mass by eating the magic broccoli. But she gets addicted to it and eats more and more until she is a giant, muscular, hideous beast of a woman, with the brain the size of broccoli.

This episode is an obvious spoof of special episodes long-running television series have.

Pop Culture References

* Candy choses the nickname, the Can. Which is an obvious reference to wrestling legend's Don Muraco wrestling nickname "The Rock".
* Using puppets to educate Candy's young mind is an obvious reference to several children's educational program, the most well known is Sesame Street.
* South Park - When Candy jumps a hole through the floor and Dave asks Fang if she reckons Candy's okay, he uses his puppet voice pretending the puppet's actually talking. A reference to Mr. Garrison
