The Oats were a pop band from Aurora, Colorado active from 2004-2006. During this time, the band managed a number of performances and recorded a self titled double-disc debut album ("The Oats") in March 2005 at Sacred Heart Studios in Duluth, Minnesota. The album was released in a DIY fashion and only about 500 or so copies are believed to exist. [Slade Kaufman interview, LPA Feb 2007] The band has entered an "indefinite hiatus".
