John Fleming (January 10, 1785 - November 18, 1857) was a Scottish zoologist and geologist.
Fleming was the author of "The Philosophy of Zoology" (1822 ) and "A History of British Animals" (1828).Fleming also wrote "Insecta". In: "Supplement to the fourth, fifth and sixth editions of the Encyclopae-dia Britannica, with preliminary dissertations on the history of the sciences"(1821).
