King George V Memorial Hospital was a former hospital exclusively for mothers located near the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, which closed down on November 14 2002. King George V hospital was opened in 1941. About 263,000 babies were born in the hospitals 62 years in operation.
It is now part of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, housing the hospitals administration including Human Resources and Staff related services.
The Hospital was named after King George V of the United Kingdom.
