"Prisoner of the Ant People" is a gamebook (a narrative that allows the reader to participate in the story by choosing among various narrative paths) in the Choose Your Own Adventure series. It was written by R.A. Montgomery and published in 1983 as the twenty-fifth book in the original Choose Your Own Adventure series, published by Bantam Books. It was republished in 2005 as part of the relaunched series of Choose Your Own Adventure Books, published by Chooseco. It is the tenth book in the republished series. The text was updated in the new version to reflect changes in technology since the book's original release.
Plot
You and your Martian friend Flppto are members of the Zondo Quest Group II. Your group’s mission is to combat the Evil Power Master, who is slowly but surely working to gain control over the entire Universe. Your group battles on tirelessly and often succeeds in stopping the Evil Power Master’s plans. Today, though, most of your team members turned up missing. Have they fallen into the clutches of the Ant People, who are some of the Power Master’s most faithful minions?
