University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (where she was a reporter and editor for "The Daily Tar Heel "). She worked as a reporter for The North Hills News Record and theAsheville Citizen-Times . She served as the city editor and the metro editor at theAsheville Citizen-Times before she moved to the TimesDaily inFlorence, Alabama as the managing editor. She was named executive editor of theTimesDaily in 2002, and executive editor of theStar-Banner in 2005. She writes a regular column about media and family matters that appears in theStar-Banner on Sundays. She serves on the board of several community and journalism organizations, including the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors and the Marion County Children's Alliance.Notes
